Osca Dei Giunoni was imported from Italy in August 2004. She was bred by D'Alessio and came to us from Agostino Molinelli, who owns and bred her sire Spaccone.

She is a delight - she has an exceptionally stable temperament, excellent type, substance and size. She is mainly working line bred. She has A graded hips (rated in UK terms 0:0=0). During her show career in Italy, in the ownership of Agostino Molinelli, she won 5 CACs (3 RCACs) and 3 CACIBs (1 RCACIB). She was Best Junior in show at the CPMA show in Abruzzo in 2003. Her showing has been limited for a number of reasons since her arrival in the UK but she was awarded the CC with BOB at Welsh Kennel Club in 2005, under Brenda Banbury, and again in 2006, under Janet Atkins. She also has a RCC (Albert Wight).

She produced a litter of eight in March 2005 (7 males, 1 female) to Ch. Oceano Atlantico Della Collina di Revigliasco di Sunhaze (It Imp). One of her sons, Poggio Picenze of Tassrossa won the RCC and Best Puppy at the Maremma Club of Great Britain show in October 2005, his first show, followed by RCC and Best Puppy at Crufts 2006. She is also the mother of an Italian Champion, It Ch Irpina (owned and bred by Agostino Molinelli).

She now lives with our friends Sarah and Tony near Bath. She and Grace had had a falling out that was irreparable in spite of several attempts at reconciliation. So she moved out and now reigns supreme in her new home! She also has a new name, "Orsa", meaning she-bear in Italian. Sarah knew an "Oscar", who was a reprobate dog, so couldn't use the same name for our lady! Her new life is really suiting her - she is fitter and more relaxed than ever. I am continuing to show her with support from Sarah and the team.
