
Yes. Maremmas are generally good with any other animals they grow up with, considering them all as
part of their “flock”. If you already have a dog, it is best to choose a Maremma of the opposite sex, as
adults of both sexes can be difficult with others of the same sex. Problems are less likely where the dogs have
been brought up together and where one or both of them is neutered.
Entire male Maremmas, in particular, can be very territorial and a Maremma's territory is wherever it goes
regularly, which may be your local park.
Again it is therefore vital to socialise your Maremma with other dogs from an early age and be aware that, even so, it may as it grows up
become "antisocial" with other dog. If this is the case it should only be exercised off lead in secure private areas.
